British Bangladeshi Business Forum (BBBF)are a Business organisation established in 2008, Representing the British Bangladeshi Community in business within the East of England region, our main target is to train people from minority of ethnic group so they can participate in all aspects of work without having to rely on the public funds and we have so far trained approx 2000 business across UK, also our aim is to contribute towards to the British Economy.
We have members in our organisation from a Grocer to Cash & Carry, Solicitors to Accountant, and Builders to Merchant services and fast food to Restaurant and many more.
BBBF facilitates training programmes, provides information on local and government business issues, funding for small businesses, and provides legal advice from legal expertise and arbitrates disputes. It represents the Bangladeshi business community at all levels.
The Forum has initiated many training courses like food hygiene course, The first hygiene course was deliver in 2008 for 120 business and the second attracted 87 business in the catering and grocery shops since then we have delivered many courses to date. We organised courses in first aid in 2010, 2011, 2013 and in 2014, we keep providing training to the regional business across the UK. Other courses organized by BBBF for their members free of charge include the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS), Personal Licence (PL), Conflict Management (CM), Fire risk assessment and NVQ Level 2 & 3 food processing & cooking, Health & Safety & Business Management. Our aim is to work with all Bangladeshi related business regardless of their gender, religion and political affiliation.
We regularly hold business seminars, event and reception. Last year we hosted our first awards and gala dinner 2012 were over 500 guests from all over the country attended; recognise student achievement awards and high achiever in different field with a crest and certificates. Published our very first magazine in 2012 called Vision describing our most of the programmes and activities.
We are also into leisure activities. We staged a major football tournament in 2012/2013 and in 2014 with participation from all over the UK and over 30 FA affiliated teams were presence. We also promoted Badminton and Carom tournaments 2011 and 2013 and even took part in Boat race (Nowka Bais) from BBBF in 2011 Oxford and 2013 Bedford.
We welcome applications from other Bangladeshi businesses from all parts of the United Kingdom. We as the Business Community organisation is willing to work with any present government to overcome the problems like Immigration and VAT issues. We will need financial support from the governmental resources near future.
